A small website project and a full system rebuild both get a fixed price in writing, a tight scope, working demos as we go, and full ownership at handover. Practico is small by design - senior people only, with heavily automated delivery in place of a junior bench, which is what makes both ends of that range profitable to do well.
How can you offer fixed prices when everyone else bills hourly?
We scope before we quote, and we automate our own testing and delivery heavily. That lets us carry the estimation risk on the scope we agreed in writing - if that work takes longer than we estimated, the price doesn't change. Anything outside the written scope is quoted separately, as the next answer explains.
What happens if scope changes mid-project?
Small clarifications get absorbed. Genuinely new requests are scoped and quoted as their own fixed-price additions, which you can accept or decline. The original number never moves without your signature.
How do I know you won't break what currently works?
That's what Evidence-Gated Delivery means: we change systems piece by piece - never all at once. Releases ship with automated checks comparing new behavior to old, and you approve a working demo before anything goes live.
Are we dependent on you afterward?
No - independence is part of the deliverable. You receive the site or code, the accounts, the credentials, and the documentation. Optional ongoing maintenance is available, but nothing we build requires us to keep running.
